Which threerosemary hates wet feet
- Rosemary. It hates our wet winters outside, so it comes in first.
- Parsley. Dig up a young plant with a good root ball.
- Chives. Divide a clump and pot up half.
Basil isn't worth it for me. It sulks indoors. Dry it or freeze it in olive oil instead.
from the garden, this yearBringing them in
Rinse the leaves and check under them for aphids. Then let the pots sit on the porch in the shade for a few days so the move isn't a shock.
Winter careturn pots every week
Water when the top inch is dry, and not before. Turn the pot a quarter turn every week so the plant doesn't lean. Snip often. Herbs like being used.
